USB Programming Cable for CRE 8900. This programming cable allows quick and easy programming of memory channels and other settings via a personal computer. You can manage, edit and print out the radio data on a PC, and transfer data back to the radio or share with others. Compatible with CRE 8900. President Lincoln 2 II plus + Package Includes. I downloaded the cre 8900 software onto a laptop with a fully updated windows 7 home basic O/S. When connected to the radio via the supplied usb cable, Windows 7 update attempts to install the comms port driver. This inevitably fails. I am then invited to troubleshoot which is futile,going around in circles. CHIRP is a free, open-source tool for programming your amateur radio. It supports a large number of manufacturers and models, as well as provides a way to interface with multiple data sources and formats.

FTB8900 is a memory management program for the FT-8900R FM transceiver.

Memory definitions can also be imported from TravelPlus for Repeaters using .TPE files

The program runs on a standard PC that has an available COM port for connection to the transceiver. The COM port may be a conventional Serial port or one attached to a USB adapter. It has been developed and tested on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10. It will not run on Windows 8 RT version which does not support desktop applications. The minimum screen resolution is 800 x 600 but 1024 x 768 is recommended.
